Now shipping OutcomesExpert and RehabExpert Version 7.50

KMS Systems has released Version 7.50 of its flagship rehab products. The new release includes the ability to specify whether treatments were provided for an individual, concurrently, or for a group. The payroll module has been enhanced to automatically calculate overtime hours for companies with weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls. Payroll data can now be exported to a file that is used for integration with third party payroll systems.

Also included are CMS-700 Treatment Plan enhancements, the ability to easily manage admission and discharge dates for previous stays, and a new Weekly Progress Summary. The CPT Distribution Analysis Report now presents more information that helps you prevent overcharges, and a new CPT Minutes Service Log is available. There were also many enhancements to the other Service Log reports.

The previous releases brought you many new features that help rehab providers comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements. HIPAA features included comprehensive audit tracking and reporting, new password protection and security administration, encryption of patient data transferred from facilities to the central office (OutcomesExpert Enterprise only), and encryption of reports sent via email.

Now Available: Rehab Office!

KMS Systems is pleased to announce the release of Rehab Office. The new software is perfect for rehab service providers who are looking for a simple and inexpensive solution for their contract rehab billing needs. 

Rehab Office licenses are leased rather than purchased, and can be renewed annually or every six months. Any number of facility licenses can be leased for use on a single system. 

Rehab Office is very flexible. Use the software to manage billing data for a single contract on a laptop computer, or manage hundreds of contracts with several computers on a local area network.

Use OutcomesExpert and RehabExpert to bill facilities for Rehab Services

Both OutcomesExpert and RehabExpert support several billing rate structures for PPS and managed care, including per-diem billing, acuity-level rates, percentages of RUGs III rehab rates, Medicare B fee schedules, salary equivalency, and more. Therapists at facilities also benefit from PPS Utilization reports, which include exceptions for patients that are not meeting RUGs level requirements (e.g. too few treatment minutes, treatment days, or disciplines involved).

OutcomesExpert is Used by Rehab Providers with Twenty or more Contracts.

Use OutcomesExpert to manage as few as twenty contracts or as many as 500 contracts. The Enterprise version enables you to deploy computers at your contract facilities, where your therapists use the software to manage patients, treatments, acuity levels, treatment plans, labor and payroll hours, outcomes assessments, and more. A centralized system at your corporate office collects, manages, and coordinates all of your data for management reporting and billing.

Customers who do not wish to deploy computers at their contract facilities use the Centrally Managed Facilities (CMF) version, which enables all data entry and reporting to be performed on a PC network at their own central office. 

Use RehabExpert to Manage a single Rehab Department.

RehabExpert includes all the same features as OutcomesExpert, except that all applications are used on a single computer to manage a single rehab department (i.e. the data is not collected or aggregated by other systems). RehabExpert is best suited for small contract rehab companies, or facilities with in-house rehab departments.

Automatically e-mail reports to remote managers

One of the most anticipated features in both OutcomesExpert and RehabExpert was the automatic e-mail reporting feature. Customers can create user profiles with report preferences and flexible delivery schedules. Management reports (including outcomes and PPS minute utilization) are e-mailed to regional managers and clinical coordinators on a daily basis. E-mail recipients use a specialized KMS report viewer in conjunction with their Internet web browser.
